Ariel Gail

Professor Gail S. Goodman is Distinguished Professor of Psychology and director of the Center for Public Policy Research at the University of California Davis. She has been widely recognized for her pioneering work in studying witness testimony by children and the eyewitness memory within legal contexts. Professor Goodman published widely and has won several grants and has received several international and national distinctions. She has collaborated with numerous organisations and governments all over the world to conduct studies and policy issues pertaining to child people who are victims of the law. She serves as a consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center which was previously known as the Multidisciplinary Interview Center - of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is also a fellow of the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association, (Divisions Experimental Psychology and Developmental Psychology Society for Children and Families Practice and Policy American Psychology Law Society Psychology of Women and Traumatic Stress 56). She is the founder of the American Professional Society for the Abuse of Children, the Psychonomics Society Society for Research into Child Development as well as the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She served as president of the American Psychological Association's Developmental Psychology Division and Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Society for Child and Family policy and practice.
