Aurora

Aurora Aksnes was born on 15 June 1996 in Stavanger Norway. Professionally known as Aurora and often stylized with the letters in uppercase like AURORA. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves is a May 2015 release from Decca Records. It has been praised by the music press and bloggers. Half the World Away from Oasis was released by the group Oasis was made for an ad campaign for John Lewis, and Nature Boy is a Nat King Cole cover. Her name was also recognized from a post by Katy Perry where Perry endorsed her track Runaway. Celebrate her special day. Aurora Aksnes' first musical memory involves finding a small piano hidden in the basement, and becoming enthralled by the sounds it produced. Jan Oystein Aksnes' parents May Britt Aksnes advised her to use music for development of her own, not as a way of earning a living or to pursue an interest. So she started with her own music. Her inspirations include famous authors Leonard Cohen and Bob Dylan, as well as her love of Bjork's style. After her mother said that the songs she composed could be used to not gain fame for her but instead to inspire people to realize their own value and impact on our world at large, she started playing them on stage. At age 6, she began to play the piano and at nine began writing her own songs. Her family didn't have any idea about it until she reached the age of fourteen. Aurora was not a goal. Her sole passion is writing music. To her music, is the most effective way to express anything.
